Richard has 25 years experience working as an award winning multi-disciplined graphic designer across brand, visual identity, advertising, digital media, and digital product. He spent his first 12 years with Wieden + Kennedy London before a spell at Sid Lee Montreal in 2012 – happily coinciding with the London Olympics. For 4 years he helped live audio streaming startup Mixlr get off the ground to become an app downloaded and enjoyed in 178 out of 195 countries around the world, hosting millions of monthly listeners. Taking a little timeout, he launched a documentary project called The Sustainers, and published his first book about The Sustainable Movement. For two years he travelled to Amsterdam, working with the friendly peeps at 72andSunny in Amsterdam, and then back again across the North Sea to escape the pandemic, and help Gentle Forces get off the ground and secure their first major project launching a global sports brand from scratch. Most recently he’s worked as Design Director supporting a thriving team at Anomaly in London, leading the brand evolution for one of the world’s most loved swim-sports brands; and as a Design Director for a handful of start-ups where he provides design & design direction, support, guidance and leadership across their visual identity, brand and user experiences.
